Getting Started

Apply Online

Apply for Admission

Dual enrollment applicants must apply as a Special Admit student. Once your application is processed, you will receive a welcome email that includes your student ID number, student email, and Self-Service username. Students typically receive the welcome email within a business day of submitting the application.

Note: If you were enrolled as a dual enrollment student in the immediately preceding semester, you do not need to submit a new application for the current term.

Log in to Self Service by entering your username and temporary password you received from Crafton Hills College located in the welcome email.

User ID:

Your User ID is formatted: f.lastname####

  • f is the first character of your first name.
  • lastname is your last name (up to 20 characters).
  • #### is the last four digits of your Student ID.

Password: Your default password is "Temp" and your 6-digit date of birth (TempMMDDYY).

You will be prompted to create a permanent password.

The Online Placement is mandatory for all students to be eligible to register for courses and is used to place students in college level Math and English. You can complete your online placement by logging in to Self Service.

Complete the Dual Enrollment Request

  • A dual enrollment request is required for each semester.
Dual enrollment type: (CCAP) College and Career Access Pathways
  • Once a student submits the request, the parent or guardian (if the student is a minor) will receive the request via email and have seven (7) days to sign it. The student will provide the parent with their 7-digit CHC student identification number.
  • After the parent/guardian signs, the request will be forwarded to the high school designee who will then have seven (7) days to recommend the request.
  • Once all parties have signed, the dual enrollment request will be sent to the Admissions & Records Office for review and processing, which may take 5 to 10 business days.
  • Students participating in CCAP will then be enrolled in their classes.

Crafton Hills College reserves the right to restrict the admission and/or enrollment of high school students during any session, based on factors such as age, grade level completion, and eligibility for instruction according to the college's placement methods and procedures. Additionally, all high school students who wish to enroll in college courses must demonstrate the maturity and capability to function effectively on a college campus. Ultimately, the Director of Admissions & Records has final authority in determining the eligibility of all students for dual enrollment.

You can access Canvas after creating a permanent Self Service password. However, you will not have access to your courses until you have registered, and the instructor has published their courses. You can confirm your registration by reviewing your Registration Statement on Self Service.

To access Canvas, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Logins at the top of the web page
  2. Select “Online Classes/Canvas”
  3. Once logged in, you can review your courses
